Is the Name of “Jesus Christ” all right for baptism, or does it have to be in the Name of the “Lord Jesus Christ”?
199 Either one. I take it Lord Jesus Christ (see?), because I think He is our Lord. Now, just the Name of Jesus, like some of our brethren baptize, I–I different there (see?), ’cause I know I’ve got a lot of friends named Jesus, a lot of–a lot of preacher friends in Mexico, and–and Italy, and so forth. They call them Jesus, and so Jesus is not enough. He was born Christ the Saviour, as He was born the Saviour, Christ, the anointed. And eight days later He was given the name of Jesus. See? Then He was the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s what He was. All right.
